If you have jagged edges or a lot of cliffs from the ‘flatten’ tool you used earlier, smoothing is a good way to remove such harsh features that you don’t desire. Use the ‘smooth’ tool to reduce the harshness of your terrain.Once you’re happy with the rough layout of your terrain, use the ‘noise’ tool to add general bumpiness to dull/flat areas (only). If you want gentler features, increase the radius of the ‘outer’ setting of your brush, and decrease the ‘pressure’ setting. Build your hills, drumlins, lake beds, or whatever else you need with these.

  • You’re going to probably do a lot of fine tuning on the terrain over the next few hours, but start by making manual adjustments to create your terrain features using the raise/lower tools.
  • You either need to step it or find other ways to break it up (see later on rocks). If you’re planning to build steep terrain, don’t lay down vertical faces – it stretches the textures and looks bad. You may also want to use flatten for sunken terrain, such as the path of a road. Use this to lay out all of the raised terrain on your map. Now when you paint, you will get a sort of flat-topped hill/plateau. Zoom in to your piece of raised terrain, and click on the exact height you want to be able to draw at. This is why you raised a corner of your map – the eyedropper tool allows you to select the exact height you are going to use as a default.
  • Select ‘flatten’ and then ‘eyedropper’.
  • Still, you first select the raise or lower options, and adjust the height of one corner of your map. The general consensus on building a map quickly, is to make heavy use of the flatten tool.
  • Go to the drawing tools for the map, and select the one marked ‘terrain’.

The first thing you’ll need to know how to do, is how to move the map around in the main window, because it isn’t very intuitive – use CTRL + Left click to drag the area view around, and the mouse wheel/third button held down will allow you to change the camera angle. After you have sketched out or designed your area in your mind, you’ll probably want to start out by adjusting the terrain. It works with the majority tho and has an installer so it's easy to remove.)) It was designed for the campaigns so you wont have issues now for sure.Trying out the NWN2 toolset for the first time? Here are the results of my explorations on building an exterior area, combined with the wisdom of several others… Proleric's excellent The Island is one it doesn't work with if memory serves. (This one can break comm7unity modules that have their own AI (Does Aielund have an AI? I forget.

This makes henchies and familiars so much better to work with. (I just dont wear incompatible robes *grin* There's only a few that dont work). just make sure it says CEP2.x as CEP1 and CEP2 are very different. A quick search of the vault should find you them. It's also not compatible with every single robe model but there are versions of it that work with CEP robes iirc. This one is incompatible with horses, but so few modules have horses in it's mostly not an issue. *grin* (follow the instructions about the dialogue file on this page ). But it's there, somewhere ) But now you have mentioned fighting styles. Kamiryn's menu does have belts somewhere. My NWN just become so much richer! Ty everyone! belt option, and that some of the fighting styles don't match with armor models but that's SERIOUSLY minor. Originally posted by Ori:The two things that MAY be considered as bugs are that Kamiryn's craft menu lacks some armor options, i.e. You would then be able to import any exported saved armour into your module.Īfter all editing you would need to rebuild each module and save it of course. I'm pretty sure any random loot armour would also not be anything from the new equipment. Also you would need to edit/and or add some new merchants with the new equipment if you want to buy the new stuff there. (Make backups before you start).Īeilund saga uses CEP I think, so you would need to add CEP (and any other relevant haks from Aielund) that enables the armour you want into the module properties for each campaign chapter. It might be possible, but there is a chance it might conflict with other things or cause problems. Aeilund Saga, into the OC and the expansions? Or is it even possible? How can one go about exporting armor models from custom modules i.e. Shia, since you've been so helpful, one more thing if you don't mind. tlk, (everything) to the corresponding folders in My docs/neverwinter nights.
